WOUNDED

HE was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of peace was upon Him; and with his stripes we are healed – Isa 53:5

Life’s journey is an up-hill journey, it’s filled with many unexpected blockades, barriers and disappointment, and you wake up each morning to know that there are obstacles many enough for each day preventing you from fulfilling your God given destiny upon this surface of the earth. Many of course died trying to make things right, some helplessly gave up the struggle and accepted failure as their fate, living a hopeless life waiting for a day to bid this world farewell… this world is wicked they say.

You look around to see someone that could help you through the difficulties of each day…but is there anyone who really does not have his or her own cross to carry, “man that is born of a woman is of few days full of trouble. Job 14:1”, say the man who experienced a sudden lost of all he had.

Apostle Peter says here that Jesus Christ was wounded for….Our Transgression,

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23” …..yes sin, transgression,……this is where many stop, am a sinner, my sins are great and even some believers thus concluded about some sinners. You need to know that Sin is what qualifies you for redemption, you have transgressed the law of God your creator, then He sent Jesus Christ who was wounded for that transgression, so you don’t have to feel guilty throughout your life time. He has paid the price to make you free from the guilt and the punishment you deserve for that transgression.

And you need to know that given up your transgression to Jesus Christ still qualifies you for the next level in life, for there are many blessings you will enjoy as you believe and accept that Jesus Christ was wounded for your transgression. You need Him now, He will give you grace greater than your transgression:

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord

Grace that exceeds your transgression and your guilt

Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured

There where the blood of the Lamb was split

Sin and despair like the sea waves cold

Threaten the soul with infinite loss

Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,

Point to the Refuge, the Mighty Cross

Dark is the stain that you cannot hide

What can avail to wash it away?

Look! There is flowing a crimson tide

Whiter than snow you may be today……..just let Christ in into your heart.

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace

Freely bestowed on all who believe, it will be bestow on you as you believe in Him today

You that are longing to see His face,

Will you this moment His grace receive?


God’s grace, that grace will pardon and cleanse you within, of all evil thoughts, imaginations, lustful desires, and you will be free and free indeed – John 8:36.

That grace is greater than all your transgressions, all your problems. Jesus Christ will be there for you when all of your family and friends give way to the wind, wave and trouble that want to wreck your life. He was wounded for your transgression. What will you give Him in return?
